Demand Planning allows users to create demands that will show as understaffed on the Roster. This section will walk through creating demands through Demand Category. Newly created demands will be listed and organized based on the assigned Demand Category.
Configuring Demand Preferences
1. Click on the Administration icon .
2. Select Preferences Administration from the Settings section.
3. Click Demand Planning and then Demand Planning Displayed Dimension.
4. Select the desired scope for the Demand Planning Displayed Dimension from the Scope drop-down.
Note: Setting the Scope to Domain makes the Demand Planning Displayed Dimension
available across all organizational units.
5. From the drop-down menu, select Demand Category.
Note: Selecting Demand Category from the drop-down will allow the user to create
demands on the different demand categories.
6. Press the Save button.
Create a New Demand
1. Click on the Scheduling icon .
2. Select Demand Planning from the Demands section.
3. Click on the Demand Category and Date that you wish you create a new Demand for.
Note: Depending on where the user clicks within a date, a suggested shift based
on the time of day will be populated.
4. From the Labor Demand Template drop-down, select the Labor Demand Template that is demanded.
5. Select the From Shift and To Shift from the respective drop-downs.
Note: To set more precise Start/End Time click on the double arrow icon .
Indeavor Protip: Make sure the From Shift and the To Shift always match.
For example: if you have 1st shift-Wed in the From, you will need to
put 1st shift-Wed in the To.
6. From the Location drop-down, select the desired Location.
7. Press the Demand button.
Create a New Demand with Recurrence
1. Click on the Scheduling icon .
2. Select Demand Planning from the Demands section.
3. Click on the Demand Category and Date that you wish you create a new Demand for.
4. From the Labor Demand Template drop-down, select the Labor Demand Template that is demanded.
5. Select the From Shift and To Shift from the respective drop-downs.
Note: To set more precise Start/End Time click on the double arrow icon .
Indeavor Protip: Make sure the From Shift and the To Shift always match.
For example: if you have 1st shift-Wed in the From, you will need to
put 1st shift-Wed in the To.
6. From the Location drop-down, select the desired Location.
7. From the Repeat drop-down, select Yes to repeat the demand.
8. From the Recur drop-down, select the desired recurrence pattern: daily or weekly.
9. Use the up and down arrows to adjust how often the demand recurs (in days or weeks).
10. Enter an End Date and Time or leave the field blank to repeat the demand indefinitely.
11. Press the Demand button.
Create a New Ad-Hoc Demand
1. Click on the Scheduling icon .
2. Select Demand Planning from the Demands section.
3. Click on the Demand Category and Date that you wish you create a new Demand for.
4. Click the double arrow icon in the top right corner to switch to Ad-Hoc Demand mode.
5. Press the Plus button to add a new Job
6. Select a Job from the drop-down and use the up and down arrows to adjust the Optimum Count.
Note: To indicate Minimum/Maximum Count, click on the second double arrow
icon .
7. Repeat steps 4-5 to add more jobs.
8. Select the From Shift and To Shift from the respective drop-downs.

9. From the Location drop-down, select the desired Location.
