Sandbox Schedule allows the user to set-up a mock schedule that will be shown in the Roster page. To be able to link this sandbox to the Roster, you can follow the steps via Change Roster to Existing Sandbox Schedule.
1. Click on the Scheduling icon from the navigation menu, then select Schedule Management option in the Schedule section.
2. Click on Add New button.
3. In the Schedule Info section, enter the following information: Name and Alternative Name, Use Other (when generating the schedule in the sandbox, what other information is considered?), Period Start and Period End (the time period for which the new sandbox schedule will apply).
For Use Other, here are the options and what they mean:
- Primary Schedules (when you create assignments in the sandbox schedule, all assignment constraints and generation algorithms will also take into account the assignments of the primary schedule)
- All Schedules (when you create assignments in the sandbox schedule, all assignment constraints and generation algorithms will also take into account the assignments of all existing schedules)
- None (when you create assignments in the sandbox schedule, none of the assignment constraints and generation algorithms will take into account the assignments of any existing schedules)
Note: You may leave Period End field empty, in that case the Sandbox schedule
validity period will be indefinite.
4. Press the Add New button in the Organizational Units section to add an Organizational Unit to which the new Sandbox schedule will apply.
Note: You can also establish a validity period for the selected OU if necessary.
Leaving it blank will make it indefinite.
5. Click on Save button. Repeat as necessary.
6. Click on the New button in the Schedule Demand Sets section to add any Demand Sets or Labor Demands that will apply to the new Sandbox schedule.
Note: You can only add one demand at a time.
7. Click the OK button. Repeat as necessary.
8. Click Save button.
