Holidays can be used for display and scheduling purposes within the application.
1. Click on the Administration icon .
2. Select the Holidays from the Master Data section.
3. Press the Add New button.
4. Enter the Name of the Holiday.
5. Enter a Short Name.
6. Select Organizational Unit from the Organizational Units drop-down.
7. Click on the pencil icon next to the Recurrence drop-down.
8. Give the pattern a Name.
9. From Day Type drop-down, select Calendar (duration from midnight to midnight) or Schedule (duration will respect the Organizational Unit's Day Start time)
10. Select yearly from the Recurrence drop-down.
Note: Selecting the On option will enable the user to select a specific date the
Holiday will occur on. This function is helpful for Holidays such as 4th of July
or Christmas, which always occur on the same date.
11. Select the Every option if the Holiday does not have a fixed date but follows a fixed recurrence pattern within the calendar year.
Note: This is helpful for Holidays such as Thanksgiving, which have no fixed
date but a pattern within the calendar year.
12. Select the desired Recurrence values from the drop-down menus.
Note: Holidays that do not occur on specific dates, have a fixed date or follow a fixed
recurrence pattern, can be configured by selecting the On option, selecting the specific date
the Holiday will occur this year, and selecting the same date in the Recurrence Scale fields.
13. Press the OK button.
14. Press the Save button.
