Demand Planning allows users to create demands that will show as understaffed on the Roster page. This article will walk through modifying and deleting posts in a demand using the Demand Planning Tool.
**These instructions apply to new functionality in Indeavor being made available in 2023. If you're not sure if your organization is using the new version of Labor Demand Planning yet, please email support@indeavor.com for clarification**
1. On the Indeavor Home Page, select the Demand Planning icon
- Make sure you're accessing data in the correct OU by checking the OU selected on the top-right corner of the webpage
2. Navigate to the Demand on the timeline and right-click on it and select the View Posts button
- To view the contents of a Labor Demand Template, select the Labor Demand Template name in the row in the timeline. This will expand the row and show the posts in the Labor Demand Template.
3. Navigate to the specific Post, with the associated Labor Demand Template expanded, that needs to be modified and right-click on the Post and select the Edit Post button and modify the following before selecting the Save button:
- Template Instance of the Post
Note: This will determine the specific date that the post will be demanded.
- Job, Shift, Demand Category, and Location of the demand for the Post
- Start and End time of the demand for the Post
- Staffing level required by adjusting the Employee Count
Note: If the Employee Count values are all the same, fill out the minimum value
and the others will be set to the minimum value. The minimum value can never be greater
than the optimum value and and the optimum value can never be greater than the maximum
value. - Select an Assignment Resolution action to designate what happens to assignments if existing demands are removed
4. Repeat Step 3 for any other Posts that need modifications
5. Navigate to the specific Post, with the associated Labor Demand Template expanded, that needs to be modified and right-click on the Post and select the Remove Post button and complete the following before selecting the Delete button:
- Select an Assignment Resolution action to designate what happens to assignments if existing demands are removed
6. Repeat Step 5 for any other Posts that need to be deleted
7. Select the Save button for the modifications made to the Post(s) to a Demand
