Organizational Units (OUs)
OUs are associated with many different Indeavor entities, so before moving forward with Inactivating an Organizational Unit, OU, please make sure to understand the effects of the change:
No access to the OU or access to either the Master Data or Scheduling data (including historical data) will be available.
Indeavor Protip: Do not inactivate an OU until you no longer need any data
associated with the OU.
If you've consolidated OUs and don't want the old OU to show up in drop downs,
Rename the OU to move it to the bottom of picklists.
Example:(xx_OUNAME_NotInUse)
Prerequisites for inactivating an Organizational Unit
- Pull any reports prior to inactivation
- Clear Roster items (Assignments, Leaves, etc.).
- Inactivate Jobs associated with the OU(s).
- Remove Employee associations with the OU (primary or secondary).
Inactivating an Organizational Unit
1. Click on the Administration icon from the navigation menu.
2. Select Organizational Units option in the Master Data section.

3. Click OU to edit.
4. Press the Edit button.
5. Click the Inactivate button.
6. Press the Save button.

Restoring an Organizational Unit
In case you need to restore an inactivated OU please follow the instructions below to restore it.

Log into Indeavor with an Admin user that had the Inactivated OU(s) selected in scope (prior to the Inactivation).

Navigate to the Organizational Units page, click on the Flat View tab, and select Any Status from the Advanced Filters dropdown.

Click on the OU and click the Restore button
