- Labor Shortage - When the total number of scheduled hours is less than the total optimal (opt) labor hours demanded. Displayed in hours and minutes.
- Excess Labor - When the total number of scheduled hours is more than the total optimal (opt) labor hours demanded. Displayed in hours and minutes.

Labor Deviation
Labor Deviation illustrates the difference between what is scheduled and what is demanded for. The Labor Deviation Score takes the (Total Shortage Hours + Total Overage Hours) / Total Demanded hours. A score of 0 would mean that there is no deviation from the schedule to the labor demands, which is the optimal score in most cases.

% Overtime
Indeavor’s Overtime Optimization Metric measures the percentage of scheduled labor hours in a
facility that are dedicated to overtime work.
- Straight Time (ST) Assignment: The assignments that make up an employee’s standard workweek, and that are paid at the employee’s standard rate of pay. Straight time assignments are the default assignment type on the Indeavor roster.
- Overtime (OT) Assignment: The assignments that an employee might work in addition to their standard workweek. These assignments are usually paid at an increased pay rate. Overtime assignments must be flagged with an overtime assignment attribute on the roster for Indeavor to recognize them as different from straight time assignments.
- Total Assigned Hours: The total hours of labor assigned to employees in Indeavor during a given time period. Includes both straight time and overtime assignments.
- Overtime Ratio: Scheduled overtime hours vs total assigned hours. This ratio provides a consistent assessment of overtime usage that can be compared across lines, departments, and over time regardless of labor volume changes.
Required Configurations
OT scheduling of assignments.
